Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs is expected to play in their big Week 13 showdown against the New England Patriots, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Diggs missed a couple of practices this week due to a knee injury and was listed as questionable on the team’s injury report. But despite missing practice time, Diggs confidently claimed he would play against the Patriots. And it appears he's set to follow through on that declaration.

Diggs, who missed Weeks 9 and 10 due to a rib injury, has been back to his productive best in the two games since his return. He had 13 catches for 126 yards and a touchdown in a loss to the Chicago Bears and had eight catches for 77 yards and a score in last week’s win over the Green Bay Packers.

In 10 games this season, Diggs has 79 catches — six shy of a new career-high — for 790 yards and six touchdowns. He’s caught a touchdown pass in the last three games he’s played.

Diggs’ presence will obviously be a huge boost for the Vikings offense as they make the tough trip to New England. He and All-Pro teammate Adam Thielen will be instrumental in helping Kirk Cousins overcome the stingy Patriots defense.

Thielen, who was also limited in practice this week due to a calf injury, resumed normal production last week against the Packers. After combining for just 11 catches for 88 yards in his previous two games against the Lions and Bears, he erupted for 125 yards on eight catches with a touchdown against Green Bay.
