Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs didn't suit up for the team's latest practice due to a hamstring injury, according to Pro Football Talk. The injury isn't serious, so Diggs should be back on the field for the season opener against the Atlanta Falcons.

The Vikings are lucky that the injury is a minor one. Diggs is easily one of the most talented players on the roster, and is a huge piece of a team that has Super Bowl aspirations.

Last year was the best of his career. He had 1,012 yards receiving to go along with nine touchdowns. The former Maryland Terrapin becomes even more important when looking at the current state of Minnesota's receiving corps. Fellow pass-catcher Adam Thielen has the number one spot locked up, but the third receiver position is totally up in the air. Second-year player Chad Beebe is expected to start alongside Diggs and Thielen, but he has performed poorly throughout the preseason and could lose his job.

While the receiving room is a strength, the offensive line is a huge question mark. They struggled to clear a hole in the running game all year last season, as no running back on the team had more than 700 yards. Quarterback Kirk Cousins was constantly under siege, suffering 40 sacks and 90 quarterback pressures.

If the Vikings want to go anywhere this year, they'll need Stefon Diggs at full health. With a shaky offensive line, Diggs will play a huge part of taking the pressure off of Cousins' shoulders.
