The Minnesota Vikings restored order on Sunday afternoon, routing the Miami Dolphins by a score of 41-17 to currently silence any concerns about the team.

The week prior, the Vikings suffered a disappointing and anemic loss to the Seattle Seahawks, which resulted in the firing of offensive coordinator John DeFilippo.

However, in spite of Minnesota's recent struggles, owner Zygi Wilf insisted that he is satisfied with Mike Zimmer and the coaching staff, according to Bob Sansevere of The St. Paul Pioneer Press:

“We're very happy with the coach and the entire coaching staff,” said Wilf. “It's great to be in this position in December, that's for sure. I'm very proud we stepped up and answered any questions about who we were as a team. I think we showed we were one of the best and can beat anyone on any given day.”

With the win, the Vikings moved to 7-6-1 and maintained their hold on the second and final Wild Card spot in the NFC. The victory also snapped a two-game losing skid.

Minnesota has never really been able to find any sort of consistent footing this season, starting out 1-2-1 and then winning three straight before going through a 2-4 slump.

The Vikings are just one year removed from winning 13 games and making it all the way to the NFC Championship Game before falling to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Minnesota is aiming to make back-to-back playoff appearances for the first time since 2009. They will head on the road to take on the Detroit Lions next weekend.
