Facing a huge quarterback decision this offseason, it's possible the Minnesota Vikings could bring back both Case Keenum and Teddy Bridgewater.
The Minnesota Vikings have quite the quarterback conundrum on their hands. At this point, however, the two frontrunners for next year's starting gig have come down to quarterbacks Case Keenum and Teddy Bridgewater.
The decision between Keenum and Bridgewater is a difficult one. Fortunately, they may not have to answer it just yet, according to ESPN's Courtney Cronin:
Keenum did a stellar job replacing quarterback Sam Bradford after his injury. He enjoyed the best season of his career from both an individual and team standpoint. However, it would be hard to justify paying a veteran quarterback big money after just one outstanding year.
Meanwhile, Bridgewater spent most of the season nursing a devastating knee injury that he suffered two seasons ago. Although he managed to make his debut this year, it was hardly a big enough sample size to determine whether he is back to normal. Regardless, there has been plenty of optimism from players and coaches about his return. Although it may be a bit pricey, locking up both quarterbacks right now could pay huge dividends in the long run.
