The Minnesota Vikings knew they were going to have their work cut out trying to beat the New Orleans Saints on the road in the NFC Wild Card Game. Fortunately, running back Dalvin cook has had no problems making his presence felt thus far.

Cook was able to reach the end zone behind some stellar blocking behind the offensive line to give the Vikings a 13-10 lead at halftime, via NFL Twitter:

Minnesota has done a solid job of trading punches with New Orleans. They now find themselves with some momentum on their side going into the second half, thanks in large part to Dalvin Cook and the work of an offensive line which has held its own.

Meanwhile, Dalvin Cook continues to show why he was considered one of the NFL's elite running backs in the 2019 NFL season by gashing the Saints defense for 103 scrimmage yards and a touchdown on 17 touches in the first half. It is safe to say that the Vikings will need to keep him heavily involved if they hope to maintain their lead.
