The Minnesota Vikings needed to find a way to answer back after the Kansas City Chiefs managed to take a 7-0 lead. Fortunately, quarterback Kirk Cousins was able to oblige.

Cousins managed to wide receiver Bisi Johnson in the end zone to cap off a 12-play, 75-yard drive, via NFL Twitter:

The touchdown was just what the Vikings needed to respond to the 40-yard strike from quarterback Matt Moore and wide receiver Tyreke Hill. It is also further proof of a resurgence from Cousins in the 2019 NFL season.

Meanwhile, Johnson has become a solid red zone option by hauling in his second career touchdown over the last three games. the rookie appears to quietly be emerging as the No. 3 option in the passing game.

The Vikings have done a much better job of establishing a balanced approach on offense. The onus will ultimately fall on Cousins to capitalize on his opportunities through the air whenever the defense is keying to stop running back Dalvin Cook.
