Through his first four seasons in the league, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs has established himself as one of the top young talents at his position.

However, there has been one career achievement that has continued to elude him as he has yet to record 1,000 receiving yards in a single campaign. This is something that he has made clear that his eyes are set on surpassing at some point in the 2018 campaign, according to Tom Yotter of 247 Sports.

“That’s the goal, along with other things,” Diggs said of hitting that mark. “It’s just one of the small things that I’m trying to accomplish. I really just want to win, as usual. I’ll do anything for those.”

Since bursting onto the scene in the 2015 season as a fifth-round selection, he has put together highly productive campaigns but he has continued to fall short with his closest mark coming in the 2016 season where he posted 903 receiving yards. He had a chance to potential surpass that feat last year but he had missed two games due to injury.

However, Diggs has been off to a strong start this season as he has notched 58 receptions for 587 receiving yards and four touchdowns. This already includes posting three 100 receiving yard outings and three games with 10 or more receptions. This has put him on the pace to record 116 catches for 1,174 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. This may all just hinge on him staying healthy in order to reach that personal goal.

Beyond that, the 24-year-old has proven to be a big part of the puzzle for the Vikings offense as he and Adam Thielen have become arguably the best wide receiver duo in the league. Although Thielen has garnered more of the shine that he has earned deserving so with eight straight games with more than 100 receiving yards to begin the season, Diggs has been just as important to the team's success on the field.
