Since being medically cleared earlier this week, free-agent former Pro Bowl cornerback Vontae Davis has begun to make the rounds around the league in search of his next landing spot.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Davis has reportedly met with the Cleveland Browns on Friday just a day after speaking with the Buffalo Bills.

The 29-year-old is expected to draw significant interest in his services from several teams and will likely meet with more of them in the coming days. Davis has spent the last six seasons with the Colts, establishing himself as one of the better cornerbacks in the league while earning a pair of Pro Bowl selections. He was a key piece of their secondary for the duration of his time with the team.

His tenure in Indianapolis came to an abrupt close last November after getting into a disagreement with the team about whether his groin injury was severe enough to keep him off the field. He played in just five games in the 2017 campaign, which marked the fewest appearances made in any of his first eight seasons in the league.

Davis' interest in possibly joining the Browns could stem from the financial stability the team could provide him as they are currently projected to have more than $110 million in salary cap space. There is also the chance to slide in as their top cornerback in 2018 after the departure of Joe Haden last August.

Davis can sign with any team from this point on and is eligible to ink a new deal prior to the start of the new league year that begins on March 14. There are going to be a few other intriguing names on the free agent market at the cornerback position such as Trumaine Johnson, Malcolm Butler, Aaron Colvin, Kyle Fuller, Patrick Robinson, and Nickell Robey-Coleman.
