WarioWare: Get It Together! for the Nintendo Switch announced at E3
A new WarioWare game should be expected for every Nintendo console, and the Nintendo Switch is no exception. Still, the announcement of WarioWare: Get It Together! during Nintendo Direct at E3 2021 still felt like it came out of the left field. That doesn’t make us any less excited, though, as a new WarioWare game is always welcome.
WarioWare: Get It Together! Release Date: September 10, 2021
The despicable but lovable Wario returns with a new game on the Nintendo Switch. WarioWare: Get It Together! releases for the Nintendo Switch on September 10, 2021.
Watching the reveal trailer might confuse the uninitiated, but the game’s exactly what one would expect from a WarioWare game. Just like previous titles in the series, this new game features microgames that make use of the specific and unique control scheme of the Nintendo console it’s in. What’s a microgame? To put it simply, these are short 3-5 second minigames that have a simple task that you need to accomplish before the timer runs out. You go through a series of microgames to get through a level, and each level usually has its own theme or gimmick that ties all of the microgames together.
Expect the return of motion controls here, using one Joy-Con as a controller for most of the microgames. Up to two players can go through the Story Mode in either online or local co-op play. Also, for the first time ever, WarioWare: Get It Together! allows players to control Wario and the other characters in the series. Each character has a unique ability that they can use to complete the microgames. Use their abilities together with a friend to complete microgames faster than needed.
