The Golden State Warriors continued their dominance in the NBA playoffs with a 113-91 drumming of the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night.

According to the Warriors' PR, the convincing victory put the team alone in NBA history with an impressive all-time feat.

Golden State was in full control of Game 1 after the first quarter pushing its lead to as many as 24 points in the second half. The Warriors were led offensively by their pair of former league MVPs with Kevin Durant pouring in a game-high 38 points while Stephen Curry recorded a double-double scoring 28 points with six 3-pointers and 10 assists.

Although the Warriors had just two players in double figures, it was a strong team performance dishing out 31 assists to just four turnovers along with holding a 27-9 edge in fastbreak points.

Meanwhile, the Cavaliers struggled to get a consistent flow offensively shooting 34.9 percent from the field along with committing 20 turnovers. LeBron James had a huge night with 28 points, 15 rebounds, and eight assists but was responsible for eight turnovers and held a game-worst plus/minus of minus-22.

It could be a much different situation in Game 2 on Sunday night with the Cavaliers looking to bounce back in a big way to even up the series heading back to Cleveland.
