Since news broke out that the New York Knicks have traded Carmelo Anthony to the Oklahoma City Thunder, it has continued to be a much talked about topic for a lot of basketball fans. They have made their thoughts about it known, especially on social media, and are still drawing mixed reactions.
Some believe that he is a good fit for the Thunder, and will provide them with another scoring weapon while playing alongside Russell Westbrook and Paul George. However, there are also a number of fans who think he will disrupt the flow of their offense, as he is used to being the focal point on offense, needing the ball in his hands to create his own shots.
When Golden State Warriors star forward Kevin Durant was asked for his opinion regarding the blockbuster deal though, he appeared to uninterested about the topic. He also had a brief response, and made it clear that he is only focused on his team.

Although their first meeting won't happen until November 22nd, it is already starting to gain steam, and many are looking forward to the matchup. As if the subplot of Westbrook and Durant was not enough to make it a very intriguing night, the Thunder have now emerged as a serious contender to the defending champions, which will bring out the best from all their stars.
For now, Durant may indeed be focused on the Warriors alone, but if the Thunder start strong and string a lot of wins together once the new season starts, he might start to notice them, and consider them as strong competition.
