Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson has not played in an NBA game in almost two and a half years, but according to him, that is about to change. The former finals MVP and three-time NBA champion can be seen casually driving his boat–which he has been on quite a bit recently– but this time, he is talking about his return to the court, which has been a long time coming since he first injured his knee on June 13, 2019. Since then, Thompson also tore his Achilles which delayed his return even further. Alas, all that time could be coming to an end by the end of the year, according to the man himself.

While it may be “hard to gauge” when Thompson will be returning, the same cannot be said about his Warriors team. Golden State is very easy to gauge; they are one of the best teams in the NBA right now and currently have the best record in the NBA without Thompson. When Klay returns, this season could have the makings of yet another Golden State title run.

Just in case you forgot, Thompson is a five-time all-star who is one of the best shooters of all time and a great defender. Even though he has never made an all-NBA first-team defensive unit, he has been on the second team once and the third team twice. Putting him next to Draymond Green and Stephen Curry in the Warriors' starting unit is the perfect fit and we are all about to see the Golden State puzzle back together soon, get your popcorn ready.
