Four NBA teams are reportedly interested in acquiring forward Patrick McCaw, who was liberated from his restricted free agent status with the Golden State Warriors after signing a two-year, $6 million contract offer with the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to Mark Medina of the San Jose Mercury News. The Warriors won't be among the four teams vying for his services, according to sources.

McCaw didn't last a full week with the Cavs before being waived by the team, playing 17.7 minutes through three games and averaging 1.7 points, 1.0 rebounds and 0.7 assists in his whimsical stint. The Cavs signed point guard Cameron Payne to a 10-day contract shortly after waiving McCaw.

It's unlikely McCaw will command anything more than a minimum contract for his services, but money won't be a factor for the third-year man out of UNLV, as he was looking for a role within a team more so than financial compensation.

The Warriors had offered him a $1.7 million qualifying offer initially and then a two-year, $5.2 million deal, but he turned both of those down before going on a two-plus-month hiatus, cutting off all communication with his teammates, coaches, and front office personnel.

McCaw shot 22.2 percent from the field and 25 percent from 3-point range in 17.7 minutes through three appearances with the Cavs and only averaged four points and 1.4 rebounds per game as a rotation member of the Warriors.

The numbers simply aren't there to command a heftier offer but the 23-year-old is hopeful to find a team that can give him a shot at some decent playing time in hopes to stick in the league.
