Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry had another historic evening on Wednesday as the Dubs took on the Oklahoma City Thunder on the road. Coming from his 53-point performance against the Denver Nuggets earlier this week, Curry still had his chef's hat on and cooked one heck of a southern meal in downtown Oklahoma.

The two-time MVP was nothing short of fantastic against the Thunder and only needed 29 minutes of court time to put himself in the books for a handful of ridiculous stats (h/t to Warriors PR) which fits the bill for the league's best shooter. This will be a mouthful so do bear with me.

For starters, Curry's 42-point night makes him just the first member of the Warriors to score 40 or more in back-to-back games since Kevin Durant back in 2018. This is also Curry's first back-to-back 40-point game since 2016.

Add to that, Curry's 200th career 30-point game makes him the first Warriors in franchise history to tally eight-straight games with 30 points or more since the great Rick Barry back in 1966-67.

It wouldn't be a complete night for Stephen Curry without an amazing 3-point shooting stat, right? Curry had 11 of those on Thursday after knocking down 10 in his previous outing for a total of 19 career games with double-digit threes. This marks the second time in the 33-year-old's NBA career that he's been able to hit double-digit threes in back-to-back games.

Curry also had a quarter to remember after the Warriors star owned the entire third quarter with an immaculate shooting night. He didn't miss any of his shot attempts in the third quarter and knocked down 6-of-6 from outside the arc, making him the first Golden State player to go an entire quarter without missing on at least eight attempts. The last one to do it was Klay Thompson, who achieved it in his historic third-quarter against the Sacramento Kings back in 2015.

This is the 30th time in #30's career that he's been able to score at least 20 points in a single quarter, 17 of which has come in the third quarter.

Needless to say, Steph was a handful for the Thunder all evening long. Take a bow, Mr. Curry.
