Golden State Warriors forward Andre Iguodala doubled down on his take citing Stephen Curry as a top-two point guard in NBA history, going one step further and taking him and Kevin Durant and comparing them to Michael Jordan.

Iguodala cited Curry as an underrated talent, explaining that the stuff he does on the court goes beyond the highlight-reel pyrotechnics, the 3-point-shooting and the gaudy numbers he puts up for the season:

“It's interesting because I think he's still underrated,” said Iguodala after a heart-pulsing 120-117 road win over the Philadelphia 76ers. “I still think he doesn't fully get the respect he deserves. I think guys [around the league] think like he uses a lot of screens and guys can get at them, draw mismatches with him defensively, but he's a real problem.

“I told KD — KD said he missed me on a [wide-open] shot. I said ‘y'all two like Michael Jordan, there's no such thing as a bad shot.' That's for real, people don't understand the presence they bring to the court, especially on the offensive end.”

Curry and Durant have a gravity to them, a special cognizant superpower that makes defenses hone on them at all times and open up opportunities. Plenty of wide-open jumpers for Klay Thompson, DeMarcus Cousins and others come from teams overplaying Steph and KD, and when either of them have the ball in their hands, it's a problem for that defense.

Iguodala has benefited from that gravity over the past five seasons and understands the impact of every sprint to the 3-point line, every back cut, and every screen-and-roll set by Curry and Durant, ones that often lead to the easiest baskets of the game for their teammates.
