The Golden State Warriors were able to win their season opener against the Oklahoma City Thunder by a final score of 108-100. It was a good game, but the Warriors were able to make the necessary plays down the stretch. Andre Iguodala did not play a big role and there may be more information as to why that was.

According to a new report from Anthony Slater of The Athletic, the Warriors' veteran wing is dealing with a calf injury that has him listed as questionable for Friday's matchup with the Utah Jazz.

Iguodala is one of the most underrated players on the Warriors' roster. As much as he has meant to the team over the last five seasons, he still is not talked about as one of the key pieces. His name gets lost in the star power of Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and now DeMarcus Cousins.

In the Warriors' first game of the season, Iguodala played just 10 minutes. He scored two points, grabbed two rebounds, and dished out two assists.

While he may not be a huge part of the scoring column on a nightly basis, his defense has been key for the Warriors. Even at 34 years old, Iguodala is capable of playing top-notch perimeter defense. Getting him back to full health is necessary for the Warriors, especially for late in the season.

Thankfully, the injury does not seem to be too serious. He may miss Friday's game, but the calf should not keep him out too much longer than that.
