Even though the Golden State Warriors look like the overwhelming favorite to win a third straight championship, injuries are certainly something that could derail the hopes of the Dubs. Injuries to Andre Iguodala nearly tipped the scales in favor of the Houston Rockets in the Western Conference Finals, but an injury to Chris Paul swung the pendulum back towards the Warriors.

The injury bug has already bitten the Warriors, but it doesn't sound like anything serious. According to Mark Medina of The Mercury News:

Andre Iguodala did not scrimmage today because of a rib injury. Steve Kerr said it’s not serious.

Iguodala's impact on Golden State may be diminished when DeMarcus Cousins returns to the floor because, undoubtedly, the late-game lineup on the floor may not include Iguodala. Cousins would join Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green.

But that's not to say that losing Iguodala at any point this season would go unnoticed for Golden State. Iguodala has been the most reliable bench contributor for the Warriors. His defensive versatility is one of the keys to the dynasty.

The good news for Golden State is Kerr is assuring everyone this injury is not serious. At this stage of training camp, teams are more concerned with making sure everyone stays healthy. That goes double for the Warriors, a team that doesn't need to worry about developing chemistry between Iguodala and anyone on the roster.

Injuries are one of the few things that can take down the Golden State dynasty, but this is not something that should cause Warriors fans to panic.
