The Golden State Warriors just made a splash in free agency by agreeing with Andre Iguodala on a minimum deal. Iguodala rejoins the team with whom he won all three of his championships. He loves the city, the fans, and hopes to win another championship with the Warriors, per Jonathan Abrams of The New York Times.

Iguodala plans to end his career with Golden State. It's the perfect way for him to end his career, as Iguodala played a vital role in the Warriors' championship runs. After taking a hiatus with the Miami Heat, Iguodala gets to reunite with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green.

“The opportunity to end it here was just something special,” explains Iguodala.

Iguodala will provides solid veteran leadership off the bench for the Warriors' young prospects. He should be able to help develop the youngsters nicely throughout the next season, with the hopes of making a deep playoff run as well. The three-time champion is excited to be back in Golden State, as he explains here:

“Who would have thought I'd have the opportunity to go back to the place where I was able to have, whatever you want to call it, legacy years, in terms of the accomplishments, winning multiple championships, the relationships that I was able to build with some of my closest friends and teammates?”

The Warriors should be a force in 2021-22, even despite no big trade made for another star. Not only is Andre Iguodala returning, but Klay Thompson is set to return to the lineup after spending two years on the sideline dealing with injuries. With Stephen Curry and Draymond Green ready to go, the Warriors are shaping up to be a serious playoff contender next season.

Not to mention, Golden State selected some solid prospects in the 2021 NBA Draft, as Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody have the potential to become stars in the league one day. The hope is James Wiseman comes along as well.
