The reunion between the Golden State Warriors and Andrew Bogut happened as swiftly and unexpectedly as anyone could imagine, as it wasn't too long since the initial rumors of the organization's interest in the 7-footer crystallized into a free agent deal.

The interest was so sudden that Bogut started talking to the Warriors' front office before his agent even knew about it:

“Funny enough, my agent didn’t even know,” Bogut said, according to Ethan Strauss of The Athletic. “I told my agent, ‘Hey I’m talking to the Warriors,’ and he was like, ‘What the f**k? Do they know I’m your agent? Why don’t they call me?’”

The fast nature of it was just the way the Warriors intended to strike, courting him quickly and swiftly realizing there was mutual interest in this partnership, one he deemed too hard to pass up.

Bogut never expected to be back in the NBA after making a family decision to return to his native land with a second child on the way and no room for an insecure future in the league after being waived by the Philadelphia 76ers (following a Dallas Mavericks trade), the Cleveland Cavaliers and ultimately the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Aussie center and the Warriors quickly agreed to a minimum deal so he could try to help them win another championship.
