Andrew Wiggins has not only emerged as another offensive weapon for the Golden State Warriors this season. The All-Star forward has also developed as one of the Dubs' best defenders. Right now, Wiggins' defensive prowess will be put to its biggest test yet as the Warriors face off against the Boson Celtics in the NBA Finals.

Ahead of Thursday's Game 1 matchup, Wiggins spoke honestly about the prospect of being the primary defender for both Tatum and Brown. Clearly, the Warriors star is relishing the opportunity:

“I love taking on the challenge,” he said, via C.J. Holmes of the San Francisco Chronicle. “Tatum, Brown, they’re the best offensive players on Boston, so it’s something I’m looking forward to.”

Wiggins locked down Ja Morant in their second-round series against the Memphis Grizzlies. The Warriors swingman then took on the assignment of having to hold off Luka Doncic in the Western Conference Finals. Wiggins found success in both matchups, albeit in varying degrees, and he's now very much looking forward to testing his mettle against the Celtics' top guns.

The Celtics have been the best defensive team in the league this season and the Warriors will need to match this level of intensity on the defensive end. Needless to say, a lot will be riding on Andrew Wiggins in this respect.
