NBA power couple Stephen Curry and Ayesha Curry did not exactly have the best Valentine's Day celebration. The Golden State Warriors star did spend the entire day with his loving wife, but it was not without incident.

Ayesha recently posted a couple of photos on her Instagram sharing how she had to get stitches following an unfortunate accident involving a champagne bottle (h/t Warriors Nation on Twitter):

Ouch. That looks like a painful accident for Mrs. Curry, who was probably hoping for a less action-packed celebration on Valentine's Day. Be that as it may, this is definitely one V-Day she won't be forgetting anytime soon — and she will have the scar to remind her, too.

As for Steph, he and the rest of the Warriors did not have a game scheduled for February 14th, which afforded them some personal time during the romantic holiday. In case you missed it, Klay Thompson celebrated Valentine's in style. Have a look for yourself here.

Curry and Co. are back in action on Monday in a tilt against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Dubs are coming off a disappointing blowout loss at the hands of a returning Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets, and Monday's bout against the Cavs presents itself as a good opportunity for a bounce-back win for Golden State.

Stephen Curry has been on a tear of late, averaging 37.6 points (on 57.7 percent shooting), 4,8 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 1.2 steals, and 6.6 triples per game over his last five.
