The Golden State Warriors medical staff led by Dr. Rick Celebrini are on the hot seat after the recent string of injuries to key players, which eventually led to a painful loss in the 2019 NBA Finals.

Fans are blaming the Warriors and their entire medical team after Kevin Durant went down with a ruptured Achilles in Game 5. It didn't help that Klay Thompson sustained a torn ACL in Game 6 on Thursday.

Due to the injuries that hit the Warriors, there have been rumblings that there will be a medical staff revamp this offseason. However, Golden State general manager Bob Myers reiterated that he fully supports their medical staff and Celebrini, who is the team's Director of Sports Medicine and Performance.

Myers previously came into the defense of their medical staff when they were being criticized for clearing Durant to play in Game 5. KD was out for more than a month, but he was allowed to return despite not being at 100 percent.

The Warriors GM said that no one should be blamed because allowing Durant to return was a collaborative this season. However, he also added that if fans wants to put a blame on someone, he should be the one to bear the brunt because he runs the basketball operation of the team.

It's too late to point fingers now though. However, given the situation, it won't be surprising to see the Warriors still make changes on their medical team.
