Golden State Warriors general manager Bob Myers made a lot of headlines over the summer, but it's not because of their offseason moves. Instead, the Dubs exec was thrown into the spotlight after Draymond Green and Kevin Durant blamed him for the breakup of the so-called “Hamptons 5.”

In his Bleacher Report show titled “Chips,” Green had a one-on-one talk with Durant where they discussed the Warriors fallout and the end of their dynasty when KD left the team for the Brooklyn Nets in the 2019 offseason. The two talked about their controversial public argument during a game against the Los Angeles Clippers in November 2018–which many believe was the last straw that led to Durant's decision to leave.

During the talk, however, Dray and KD blamed Myers and the Warriors front office for mishandling the situation. Green was particularly frustrated by it, even saying that Myers and Co. “f****d it up.”

Now, in his latest appearance on SiriusXM NBA Radio, the Warriors GM admitted he has not talked to Green about the revelations he made. Nonetheless, Myers played it down and instead shared his respect and admiration for the 31-year-old. The Golden State exec also emphasized that he is not making a big deal out of it since Green can feel what he feels and express his opinion on various matters.

While the Draymond Green-Kevin Durant beef is seen as a pivotal turning point for the Warriors franchise, Bob Myers is right not to blow the issue out of proportion. After all, it is in the past now and the Dubs appear headed in the right direction once again with a good mix of veteran talent and young core.

Instead of focusing on what has been and what could have been, Myers and the Warriors will definitely be better off looking forward to the new season where they will try to get back to the playoffs and the NBA Finals after two straight years of missing it.
