Marcus Smart of the Boston Celtics believes that Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors is ‘definitely the greatest shooter of all time.'

Smart wrote a piece for The Players' Tribune entitled ‘The 5 Toughest Players I've Ever Guarded.' The list does not have an order, but it includes Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Stephen Curry. Under Curry, Smart wrote in part:

“Yeah, man. Steph is fearless. As close to unstoppable as any shooter I’ve ever guarded.

And definitely the best shooter of all time.”

He also noted that there's no such thing as a bad shot for Curry. He also has a capacity to get his shot up even if you're right under his grill. The only way to contain Curry is to be physical with him — which is a tedious task given that he's going to be running around all game. When you relax, even for just a second, Curry will get that ball, get into his form, and swish the net.

Not a single soul is disagreeing with Smart's claims. Curry is regarded as the best shooter in league history. He became the sole reason why the 3-pointer has been inculcated in every team's offensive package.

Because of Curry, the 3-pointer was no longer seen as a low percentage shot but as a shot that could change the entire dynamics of a basketball game. But the difference between Curry and other players is that with the two-time MVP, his shot goes in more often than not.
