In the aftermath of the Golden State Warriors' four-game sweep of LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, head coach Steve Kerr shared a light-hearted moment with Charles Barkley and the rest of the NBA TV crew. Sir Charles admitted to Kerr how he felt about one of the 52-year-old's more controversial coaching decisions that involved the Phoenix Suns.

For some context, Barkley was referring to the February 13 contest between the Warriors and the Suns, wherein Kerr allowed some of his more vocal players to take over the coaching duties in a number of in-game timeouts. Unsurprisingly, this unconventional tactic drew some flak from the basketball world, and as it was recently revealed, perhaps none more than from Barkley.

Although the conversation between the two legends of the sport was carried out in a rather light manner, Barkley was not exaggerating when he claimed that he was angry at Kerr at that point in time. He did however go a bit overboard by saying that he “would have killed [Kerr] back in the day.”

Back in the day, these two gentlemen had their fair share of on-court battles. Kerr was part of the Michael Jordan era with the Chicago Bulls, which denied Barkley several championships with the Suns. The Round Mound of Rebound earned a reputation as a bruiser in his heyday, and Kerr pulling a similar stunt would have almost certainly resulted in an on-court confrontation of the physical nature.
