While there might be some that Boston Celtics supporters have gone over the edge with their treatment of Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green, Hall of Famer Charles Barkley is definitely not one of them.

In a recent interview on NBA Radio SiriusXM, Barkley explained why he believes it's “weak” that people are criticizing Celtics fans for how they've paid so much attention to Green. According to Sir Charles, the critics (as well as the Warriors fans) should realize that this goes both ways:

“I had 20,000 people telling me I sucked last week,” Barkley said (h/t Gabe Fernandez of SF Gate). “You're not in a position of power. I mean they were throwing things at me and everything. This notion that because people are cursing you out, it’s classless I’m like, hey, that’s the way it is. I picked against the Warriors and they hate me, which is fine, that goes with the territory.

“But you can't come out with Draymond offending people and saying things about the crowd, and then when they give it back to you, you say ‘they shouldn't be talking mean to me.' It doesn’t work like that.”

Members of the Warriors have already spoken out about how “classy” (in a sarcastic way) Celtics fans were during Game 3 when they bombarded Green with F-bombs throughout the matchup. It seems that these are the same comments Barkley is pertaining to here. In his mind, this is all just part of the game and you can't really cry about it — especially when your own fans have a tendency to act in a similar manner.
