TNT analyst Charles Barkley was extremely curious about how the redemption-seeking Golden State Warriors will fare in their season opener against the powerhouse Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center on Tuesday. But after the Nets gave the once invincible Warriors a 125-99 spanking, Sir Charles said the game only left more questions than answers for the Warriors.

As seen in the first TNT post-game show episode of the 2020-21 NBA season, Barkley bared his unfiltered realization about the new-look Dubs squad (h/t ESPN's Alan Hahn):

Golden State was indeed missing two top players on Tuesday, with Klay Thompson out for the season with a torn Achilles and Draymond Green on the sidelines due to a muscle strain on his right foot. The Dubs did have superstar Stephen Curry back in action, who had a team-high 20 points on 7-for-21 shooting from the field and 2-of-10 from downtown, along with 10 assists, four boards, and two steals.

But the Warriors were simply no match against Brooklyn's terrifying duo of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, who scored 22 and 26 points, respectively. Caris LeVert also punished the Warriors with 20 points off the bench.

Charles Barkley, meanwhile, is no stranger to offering his unabashed take on Warriors' struggles of late. Last season, he also claimed that the injury-riddled Dubs won't make it to the playoffs right after watching their first game of the season. Sir Charles was on point on that one, as Golden State recorded a league-worst 15-50 slate in 2019-20.

The Warriors, meanwhile, were expected to regain their position as top dogs in the West with the Splash Brothers back to 100 percent. Thompson's second season-ending injury obviously put a wrench on those plans. The Warriors did welcome several nice additions this offseason. But judging by their first game looks like there's still a lot of work to be done in The Bay.
