The first regular-season game at the Chase Center is tentatively scheduled to be the Los Angeles Clippers versus the Golden State Warriors, according to Marc Stein of The New York Times.

The Warriors will be playing in the Chase Center next season in San Francisco. The Dubs played their home games from 1971 to 2019 at Oracle Arena in Oakland.

The Clippers signed two-time Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard in free agency and acquired six-time All-Star swingman Paul George from the Oklahoma City Thunder, so there's going to be a lot of hoopla surrounding the Clippers next season.

The Warriors, meanwhile, are still going to be a must-watch team in 2019-20 even though superstar Kevin Durant is on the Brooklyn Nets and star shooting guard Klay Thompson is expected to be out until February or March recovering from his ACL tear. Golden State has two-time league MVP Stephen Curry, former Defensive Player of the Year Draymond Green and All-Star guard D'Angelo Russell, who will start while Thompson is rehabbing his injury.

The Chase Center will seat more than 18,000 people. It is roughly 11 miles from Oracle Arena and will boast the NBA’s largest scoreboard.

The Clippers, Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets and Utah Jazz are considered the top-five teams in the Western Conference.
