The Golden State Warriors have signed swingman Damion Lee to a three-year deal, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. His contract will have a partial guarantee for next season, the second of the three-year pact.

Lee exhausted his last two days of two-way eligibility last week after suiting up in games against the Milwaukee Bucks and the Los Angeles Clippers. He's sat out the past two games against the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday and the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday as he worked to finalize his full-fledged deal with the organization.

The Warriors waived big man Marquese Chriss to make room for Lee, but consequently signed him to a two-way deal on Tuesday after Lee vacated the position — virtually switching chairs.

Chriss took over Alfonzo McKinnie's one-year, non-guaranteed deal, but found an opportunity to secure a future with the Warriors by inking a two-way contract that will allow him a prorated 23 days with the team — including games and practices.

Lee had been a two-way player last season and one the Warriors intended to keep long-term, seeing him as a capable cog at three different positions. Lee is a punchy scorer that can be a boost off the bench and a solid backup to either backcourt spot, while capable of making a few cameos at small forward in smaller lineups.

The Warriors plan to make Lee available for Thursday's game against the Denver Nuggets, hoping he can help them snap a nine-game skid. Golden State is now $394,357 below the hard cap with one roster spot still open in its rotation.

According to ESPN Insider Bobby Marks, that room could equal four 10-day contracts or the potential to wait until March and sign a player for a prorated rest-of-the-season deal.
