Golden State Warriors guard D'Angelo Russell won't play on Saturday against the Charlotte Hornets.

Russell is dealing with a right ankle sprain:

Warriors superstar point guard Stephen Curry underwent left hand surgery on Friday to address his broken hand. Power forward Draymond Green suffered a left index finger injury against the San Antonio Spurs, and now Russell is dealing with a sprained ankle.

The hits just keep on coming for the Warriors, who are just 1-4 on the young season.

Russell is averaging 19.0 points, 3.6 rebounds and 6.4 assists for the Warriors. The lefty is shooting 38.6 percent from the field, 31.4 percent from beyond the arc and 71.4 percent from the free-throw line.

It looks like it’s going to be a long year for the Dubs. Gone are Kevin Durant, Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston. Klay Thompson is going to miss a big chunk of the season recovering from his ACL tear. Even with a healthy Curry, Green and Russell, the Warriors were going to have a hard time making the playoffs.

Now that Curry is out for the foreseeable future and Russell and Green are banged up, the Warriors might as well just tank the season so they can get a nice draft pick.
