The 2019-20 season has not been kind to the Golden State Warriors or guard D'Angelo Russell.

The Warriors are 1-3 on the season and lost star point guard Stephen Curry to a broken left hand on Wednesday against the Phoenix Suns.

To make matters worse, Russell has the worst plus-minus for any player in the NBA this season, per NBA.com, as noted by NBC Sports' Tom Haberstroh:

Through one week, the D’Angelo Russell experiment has been an utter disaster. In 119 minutes with Russell on the floor, the Warriors have been outscored by 74 points. It’s the worst plus-minus for any player in the NBA this season, per NBA.com.

Russell is averaging 16.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game for the Warriors. The lefty is shooting just 39.0 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from beyond the arc and 61.1 percent from the free-throw line.

The Warriors were already going to have a hard time making the playoffs in the rugged Western Conference this season since Kevin Durant is gone and Klay Thompson is injured.

After this Curry news, Golden State might as well just tank this season.

The Dubs acquired Russell from the Brooklyn Nets this summer in the Durant sign-and-trade deal. He's eligible to be traded in December.
