For a social media junkie, newly-acquired Golden State Warriors center DeMarcus Cousins has been awfully quiet.

With the exception of a classy “Thank you” to the New Orleans Pelicans, the internet was largely devoid of any quotable quotes or notable posts directly from the All-Star big man. Then again, a cursory glance on the web in just a few hours after the announcement and one would already be subjected to a torrent of third party news bits and memes pertaining to the pipe bomb that sent ripples around The Association.

But eagle-eyed fans were still able to spot an interesting activity from the 6-foot-11 big man who just could not help taking a simple but impactful jab at a wayward comment on his Instagram post.

Already widely criticized for their acquisition of Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant two summers ago (despite coming off a record-setting 73-win season and therefore are in no need of immediate help) for pretty much gift-wrapping the title to the Bay Area — the Warriors indeed went on to win the last two championships. With the exception of a near-loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers during the opening game of the 2018 NBA Finals (that was averted courtesy of JR Smith's blunder), the Warriors' KD-powered run has been met with little resistance.

With the addition of Demarcus Cousins, a monster inside-outside threat in his prime, as the long “missing puzzle piece” at center (emphasis on the quotes), many feel that the 2019 title isn't going anywhere, eliminating parity and virtually making the point of playoff positioning null.
