After playing in his first NBA game in over a year, Golden State Warriors center DeMarcus Cousins was lighting up like a Christmas tree in the postgame locker room on Friday at Staples Center.

DeMarcus Cousins, who tore his Achilles tendon last season with the New Orleans Pelicans, played 15 minutes against the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday and finished with 14 points and six rebounds.

More importantly, Cousins felt no pain or stiffness in his Achilles and the Warriors won by a final score of 112-94.

After the game, Cousins said Friday was a very special night and one which he won't forget.

“Felt like a kid on Christmas,” Cousins said, via Nick Friedell of ESPN. “It's been a long journey. This is probably one of the best days of my life.”

Achilles rehabs are said to be the toughest injury to come back from. Cousins, though, got through it and now he's back playing the sport which he loves with the best team in the NBA.

Cousins did foul out against the Clippers, but that was pretty much the only negative from his debut. Cousins' first basket was a monster dunk and he also made three shots from beyond the arc.
