Golden State Warriors center DeMarcus Cousins had nothing but praises for teammate Klay Thompson.

Following their loss to the Toronto Raptors in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, Cousins said that he loves Thompson to “death” for showing a huge heart. The sweet-shooting guard went down with a knee injury in the third quarter of Game 6, but he still managed to convert two free-throws and actually wanted to return to the game.

However, Thompson was eventually ruled out of the entire game and was later diagnosed with a torn ACL in his left knee, which would sideline the All-Star guard for at least six months. But if given the chance, Cousins said that he would love to go any battle with Thompson again.

Cousins' future remains unclear at this point as he is set to become a free agent again in July. From the start, it was already expected that Cousins will just be a one-year rental for the Warriors, as he just signed a discounted deal to boost his stock after going down with an Achilles injury in 2018.

However, Chelsea Howard of Sporting News reported that Cousins declared that he is open to returning to the Warriors next season. Anthony Slater of The Mercury News also revealed that Warriors head coach Steve Kerr is not giving up on the hopes of retaining Cousins for at least one more season.
