DeMarcus Cousins is known to have one of the shortest fuses in the NBA. The Golden State Warriors big man has always been a regular customer for technical fouls and fines from the league.

However, Cousins has appeared to be in a good mood these days. According to Tim Kawakami of The Athletic, the four-time All-Star is just enjoying the fact that he's back on the court:

“I’m just being myself,” Cousins said when asked about his notable good mood recently. “It’s fun to win, it’s fun to play for something, it’s fun to play the right way on a nightly basis. I’ve got no complaints. … Me being back on the floor, this is my happy place, man. Just happy to be back.

“And the scary part about it: we’ve still got so much more room to grow.”

There's no doubt that part of why Cousins has been feeling so good is that this is the first time in his career that he's experiencing playing for a championship organization.

Cousins has fit in quite nicely in Golden State's pass-happy system. The two-time All-NBA center is a more-than-willing passer (and an excellent one at that), and his presence on the floor has provided the defending champions with a dynamic they've never had before.

While he is nowhere near what he was prior to his devastating Achilles injury last season, Cousins has given the Warriors more than expected so far. In 11 games since his return, Cousins is averaging 13.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in just 23 minutes per game.

Considering how great Golden State is already playing with a just-halfway-there Cousins, it's scary to think how much better they'll be when he gets to even just 80 percent of All-NBA Cousins.
