Twitter and Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant are words that have become famous together the last year. From using burner accounts to praise himself or getting into fights constantly with fans he has done it all.

Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki is an avid social media user himself, but he can't really understand why Kevin Durant feels the need to keep getting into fights online with fans. Appearing on the Dan Patrick Show Nowitzki said he likes to have fun with the trolls on Twitter rather than get uptight about them.

“I just think overall in general, I don't know why you would get engaged with fans talking trash,” Dirk Nowitzki said via 105.3 The Fan. “I like actually having fun with it. I get hit up on Twitter every now and then in my mentions and people say, ‘you're old, go away, retire…'

“To me, it's fun. You're not supposed to be sensitive about it. That's how I look at it. I'm not sure why KD feels the need to respond to some of the stuff because Twitter is just a place for tough guys and a lot of hate. I take it with a smile on your face, you can't take yourself too seriously.”

The latest argument for Durant on Twitter involved CJ McCollum and then he got into with some fans who came to the defense of McCollum. The other problem for Durant is fans know he is always looking for an argument, so a lot of fans try to bait him into it. If he wasn't so uptight about it, he would probably have fewer people coming at him on social media.

Nevertheless, Warriors fans likely do not care about any of this.
