Golden State Warriors center DeMarcus Cousins will make his season debut on Friday against the L.A. Clippers at Staples Center, and head coach Doc Rivers is hoping that Boogie plays “awful.”

DeMarcus Cousins tore his Achilles tendon last January while playing with the New Orleans Pelicans. It has been a long and grueling rehab process, but Cousins has gotten through it and now he's ready to play in an NBA game for the first time in 357 days.

While Doc Rivers is happy that Cousins is healthy, he's counting on the Warriors center to be rusty against the Clippers so L.A. can come away with a win at home.

Doc Rivers has never been one to mince words, and that trend is continuing on Friday. The Clippers are 24-20 on the season, good for seventh place in the Western Conference standings. However, the team has lost four games in a row and will embark on a four-game road trip after Friday's game versus Golden State.

Before he got hurt last season, DeMarcus Cousins was averaging 25.2 points and 12.9 rebounds in 48 games for New Orleans while shooting 47.0 percent from the field and 35.4 percent from beyond the arc. Boogie is obviously not going to look like his old self on Friday, but it's still a scary thought that the Warriors now have five All-Stars in their starting lineup.
