Draymond Green has now become a permanent part of Warriors' history. In the Warriors' 124-114 win over the Rockets, Green posted his 21st triple double (17 points, 10 assists, and 14 rebounds). Green has always been a faithful contributor for the Warriors, and he is arguably their best defender and most versatile player. So far this season, Green is averaging 10.5 points, 7.7 assists, and 7.6 rebounds per game.

When speaking to Monte Poole of NBC Sports Bay Area, Green was humbled to make Warriors history. He was even surprised that it would happen so soon in his career.

“It's not something I ever thought about or thought would happen, especially not playing much my first two years. It's kind of crazy. But it's definitely something to be proud of.”

Stephen Curry had some nice things to say about his teammate after Green broke Hall of Famer Tom Gola's record for triple-doubles on Thursday night.

“He's huge; he's made a nice living off his uniqueness and what he brings to our team. There may be nights where he doesn't stuff the stat sheets, but he still finds a way to be impactful. And based on the eye test, just watching the game, you can see him all over the place. Like tonight, he played the whole floor game, offensively knocking down shots, rebounding the basketball, finding open guys, playing great defense.”

At only 27 years of age, Green has ample time to break more Warriors records and make history in other ways. On Saturday, the Warriors take on the Clippers on the road. Hopefully, Green can keep this trend up, as the Warriors look to repeat as NBA champions in June.
