Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green once again made a lot of headlines recently when he blasted the referees for how they officiate games. He even called the league office out by saying that he wants them to get a new crop of game officials as he believes they are ruining the game.

The NBA has now responded to his rant by slapping him with a $25,000 fine and sent a clear message across that they won't tolerate him bad-mouthing them, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The reigning Defensive Player of the Year has never been shy to speak his mind. Whether it's during or after games, he has been critical of how referees do their jobs and this is not the first time he made comments against them. The league on the hand has been consistent in being on the side of the referees and is not allowing any player or coach to blast them publicly.

While Green may have already been expecting a fine to come his way right after he made his controversial comments, he may also be receiving some reminders from his team's coaches and front office as well to keep his emotions in check to avoid this from happening again. The Warriors are playing well once again this season and currently own the best record in the NBA, that said, they do not want any outside distractions such as the fine to affect their performances on the court as they are focused on defending their title.
