Toronto Raptors big man Chris Boucher has called out Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green for the latter's remarks about the “Black Lives Matter” logo on the team's buses.

Late last week, Green questioned the “Black Lives Matter” buses of the Raptors. The Warriors star seemed sincerely curious on why the team decided to put the phrase on their buses despite the fact that they are from a different country.

According to Green, the social injustices that gave rise to the movement “doesn’t directly impact” the Raptors.

Boucher, for his part, responded to Green's question and put it bluntly: racism is everywhere.

The Raptors big, however, clarified that he wants to have a “healthy conversation” with Green and is not trying to start a heated debate.

Chris Boucher's straightforward reply completely contradicts Raptors president Masai Ujiri's diplomatic response to Draymond Green.

“And we thought that, coming in here, you have to make a statement. You have to, for me, you have to create awareness. What you guys are doing over there is creating awareness,” Ujiri responded to the Warriors forward. “You’re talking about this. And we have to continue to do that. And we thought, what greater way than to ride through Florida for three hours and show people?”

As Boucher mentioned, hopefully, their exchange will spark more conversations about the racial injustices hounding not just the US but all parts of the globe. The Raptors didn't just slap “Black Lives Matter” on their buses for no reason. They, too, have experienced it.
