Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green took a bit of heat after he shared his true feelings about not getting ejected in Game 2 of the NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics. The outspoken former All-Star said that he knew he wasn't going to get tossed simply because he “earned preferential treatment” from the game officials. Unsurprisingly, Green's comments were met with criticism.

Hall of Famer Charles Barkley recently dropped a truth bomb on the Warriors star as Sir Charles explained how Green's comments could have a major impact on how the game officials treat him the rest of the way. Barkley issued a stern warning for Green:

“I think that was a huge mistake,” Barkley said, via Ron Kroichick of the San Francisco Chronicle. “I have some friends who are retired officials, and they were pissed. They were texting me during the game, saying ‘What the hell is up (with Green), why don’t they just toss this dude? He can’t be out there acting like a damn fool.’

“I respect these guys, they were officials for 30 years, and they said he should have been tossed a long time ago. And then for him to come out after the game and say, ‘Oh, I knew they weren’t going to toss me after the first technical.’ … I really think Draymond has to be very careful.”

Charles Barkley wasn't the nicest player to the referees during his heyday, but it is clear that he holds game officials in high regard. There's also no denying that he didn't like the Warriors star's comments about getting special treatment from the referees, and as always, Barkley wasn't shy to speak his mind.
