Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was probably sleeping soundly on Wednesday when he woke up and suddenly thought: WTF?

Green suddenly found himself in the middle of the maelstrom involving Phoenix Suns owner Robert Sarver. The All-Star forward was allegedly the topic of a racist conversation between Sarver and former Suns coach Earl Watson. Sarver was reportedly dumbfounded that Green could freely use the N-word during games.

Green already posted on Twitter what appears to be a reaction to the scandal, citing a fine handed to him. But moments later, the outspoken veteran made another tweet, which was more cryptic.

Green's post was retweeted by Washington Wizards center Montrezl Harrell. While it looks normal—as Green said—on the surface, it's worth noting that Harrell has experienced being called the N-word and other racist comments by opposing fans last year after an incident with Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic.

While it's still unclear if Green was indeed talking about the Sarver fiasco, it's not difficult to connect the dots. Perhaps he was talking about the clean facade of Sarver, a successful businessman and a diehard Suns fan since he was a kid. But if you peel his layers, his racist, sexist, and misogynistic nature gets revealed.

Robert Sarver has already vehemently denied the allegations, even blasting ESPN for the scathing report. Draymond Green is no stranger to controversies as well, but this latest one might be too personal to easily dismiss. After all, he's one of the leading voices on achieving social justice in the NBA.
