Throughout his nine seasons in the NBA, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has established himself not only as one of the league’s best defenders but also one of its best trash talkers.

Whether taking shots at Paul Pierce for “chasing a farewell tour” or rubbing their NBA Finals win in the faces of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Green’s trash talk game is as good as anyone in the league. One fan found that out the hard way on Twitter when he criticized the three-time champion for his pedestrian numbers for the Warriors.

After Green tweeted that he was headed to be tested for COVID-19 even though he felt sleepy, a fan called him “triple single” in reference to his production for Golden State this season. The three-time All-Star is averaging 5.9 points, 6.0 rebounds, 8.4 assists, and 1.4 steals while shooting 39.2% from the field and 25.8% from downtown in 32 games this season.

The 2017 Defensive Player of the Year had a ready response:

The 31-year-old is currently locked into a four-year, $100 million deal with the Dubs. With a simple reply, Green made it clear that he didn’t care about the fan’s criticism and that a triple single isn’t so bad if it’s the amount of money he’s making.

The Warriors, however, are currently in the midst of a four-game losing streak and are hovering at .500 at 19-19 as the season enters its second half. The team will face the NBA-leading Utah Jazz on Sunday, and Green hopes to put up better numbers to try to help his team end their losing streak.
