Golden State Warriors All-Star power forward Draymond Green reportedly has nearly $50 million in “advance payments” in his new contract, according to Jeff Siegel of Early Bird Rights.

Green signed a four-year, roughly $100 million extension with the Warriors. Per Siegel, Green will get 25 percent of his annual salary on July 1 of each league year, another 25 percent on October 1, and then the remainder paid out in installments throughout the regular-season:

Draymond Green could have waited to become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2020 and signed a more lucrative deal. The three-time champion signed a five-year, $82 million contract with the Warriors as a restricted free agent in 2015.

Green will make $18,539,130 next season. His new contracts kicks in during the 2020-21 season. The three-time All-Star averaged 7.4 points, 7.3 rebounds and 6.9 assists last season for the Warriors while shooting 44.5 percent from the field, 28.5 percent from beyond the arc and 69.2 percent from the free-throw line.

The Warriors have $129 million and $138 million committed to their four max players of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and D'Angelo Russell for the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons, respectively. Golden State acquired Russell from the Brooklyn Nets in the sign-and-trade deal involving Kevin Durant.

Green is represented by Rich Paul of Klutch Sports. The super-agent was able to make Green a very happy man this summer.
