If the Golden State Warriors want to retool the roster around Stephen Curry this offseason, they have plenty of options at their disposal — in the 2021 NBA Draft and via trade. Draymond Green, for one, is excited to see what his team does over the next few weeks.

Green spoke to reporters at Team USA's practice and touched on the Warriors' looming decisions. Without getting too specific, the All-Star forward first touched on the upcoming draft.

“I think we're in a great spot,” Green said, via The Athletic's Anthony Slater. “There are a few different ways we can go. Ultimately, that's not my decision. But I do try to help in those decisions, and I will continue to do that.

Green said, despite him being on the other side of the world in Tokyo, he plans on Zooming in to help in the pre-draft process. He didn't want to get too specific on which prospects he likes so far, because he “got fined for tampering already.”

Generally speaking, Green is high on the 2021 class, but he noted that the Warriors could be focused on the trade market, too.

“There's definitely some really good talent in this draft,” he stated. “There's also some good talent in this league. So we'll see what happens.”

Thanks to their 2020 trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Warriors acquired the No. 7 pick in this year's draft. They also have the No. 14 pick.

They can sign-and-trade Kelly Oubre Jr. and use Andrew Wiggins' contract to match big money in a deal.

Golden State finished 39-33 and lost the play-in game to the Los Angeles Lakers, though the team was constructed before Thompson tore his Achilles right before the season.

With Thompson (finally) set to return in 2021-22, Golden State GM Bob Myers and head coach Steve Kerr will have to decide whether to largely run it back and upgrade the supporting cast or parlay a combination of trade chips into a star, possibly named Damian Lillard.
