Following the Los Angeles Lakers-Golden State Warriors showdown on Saturday night, Draymond Green said that his ankle felt sore and appeared to walk out of the arena with a slight limp, Mark Medina of The Mercury News reports.

Green played 27 minutes in the Warriors' 115-101 win over the Lakers and finished with four points, three rebounds, seven assists, and three blocks.

It doesn't appear like Green injured his foot at some point during the heated contest against the purple and gold. Thus far, this is the first time we're hearing any recurring ankle issue from Green, so we'll just have to take this as he said it — a sore ankle.

Green, who is turning 29 this March, has struggled with some injuries over the past two seasons. Could these be signs of getting up there in age paired along with significant mileage over the past five seasons for the former All-Star? Perhaps.

This development is something the Warriors should monitor moving forward if they want to keep him fresh for the post-season. Green continues to be the Warriors' anchor defensively. Thus, they'll have to make sure he does not go into April with any nagging injuries.

Green, a three-time NBA All-Star, recently made headlines once again with his mockery of Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert. The French big man cried when he recalled how his mother teared up upon learning that he was snubbed in this year's All-Star Game. Green also didn't make it and decided to take an uncalled for shot at Gobert on Twitter.

Maybe karma is out here to bite back at him?
