Draymond Green had his worst game of this NBA season after coming back from a one-game suspension following an incident in which he eviscerated teammate Kevin Durant for how he's handling his free agency, among other things. Green suffered through a scoreless, five-rebound, five-assist, five-turnover outing that saw the defending champion Golden State Warriors lose to the Houston Rockets by 21 points — something they'll be forced to move past along with all the turmoil surrounding the organization.

Green has kept his eyes on the prize, still unapologetic of his choice words for Durant and claiming that this impasse won't keep him from staying true to himself.

“Yeah, definitely. I want to win a championship,” Green told Sam Amick of The Athletic. “That’s my only goal at all times is to win a championship, is to be the best version of me I can be for this team. That’s how I approach this thing. That’s how I’m going to attack it at all times.

“No little bump in the road is going to stop me from being who I am or being, like I said, the best version of me that I possibly can. So that’s just what it is.”

The feud with Durant has set the NBA ablaze, showing that maybe there is chaos in the basketball nirvana the Warriors were expected to be after all. Yet Green is determined to look past it, just as he has had to do with previous heated moments confronting his teammates.

The Warriors can get back on the winning horse by taking care of the Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs during another back-to-back affair over the weekend, but they will need Green to play much better than his hapless outing on Thursday night.
