Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was a guest on a recent episode of TNT's Inside the NBA, and it was an opportunity for him to have a face-to-face (with proper social distancing, of course) with the great Charles Barkley, who has been a nemesis of sorts for Green.

One of Barkley's most infamous barbs directed at Green is the “triple-single” comment, which Green addressed on the program:

It's obviously all in good fun at this point, and it appears that these two have buried the hatchet. They actually have to, considering how they are now co-hosting a new TNT show entitled “The Arena,” which premiered last July 20. There is at least still some tension left unsettled between these two outspoken individuals, which actually serves as one of the show's biggest draws.

For the record, Barkley's “triple-single” shot was in reference to Green's poor play this season. Prior to the disastrous 2019-20 Warriors campaign, Green would put up an occasional triple-double, which sort of became part of his do-it-all reputation. However, Green struggled for the Dubs without his superstar teammates, and has seen his production drop significantly this term, thus the “triple-single” barb.

Nevertheless, Draymond Green is expected to return to his usual self next season, with the Warriors back at full strength. Kevin Durant is obviously already out of the picture, but the return of a healthy Splash Brothers will instantly make Golden State a legitimate contender again. The general belief is that the Dubs will also make a few key personnel moves in the offseason, which should only bolster their chances for another run at the 2021 title.
