San Francisco, CA – The Golden State Warriors season ended with a loss to Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies 117-112. The defeat kept the Warriors out of the playoffs for the second year in a row.

All year long, Stephen Curry, the NBA’s regular-season scoring champ, kept the Warriors in striking distance of the playoffs. He had one of his best seasons yet, and during the peak of his play, he had the tailbone injury. A tailbone injury that teammate Kent Bazemore called a hairline fracture after the loss to the Grizzlies. The damage didn’t stop Curry from competing. He put up 30 point performances left and right.

It was a year Curry was tested in many ways. A year where he amazed the basketball world and showed he’s still improving as a player and a leader. His growth as a player wasn’t the only thing that grew this season. His bond with running mate Draymond Green did as well.

“To grow with the new guys is one thing it’s incredible. It’s great. To grow with Steph through all the troubles of growing with the young guys is special,” Warriors star Draymond Green said.

This year’s team was the most inexperienced group Green and Curry have played with since early in their career. Green revealed it was times they had no idea how they were going to fix things. That’s when the leadership of Curry shined brightest.

“It was really special to be a part of this group and follow him. It was great, and I enjoyed that, and in that, our bond definitely grew way stronger, and we got a lot more hell to cause, a lot, so I’m looking forward to it,” Green told ClutchPoints.

A shorthanded Warriors team finished the regular season 39-33, which vastly improved from last season and improving should continue.
