The Golden State Warriors will be without Draymond Green for the second consecutive game, as he's bound to miss Friday's game against the Utah Jazz with a sore right heel, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

Head coach Steve Kerr is expecting his star forward to return Monday when the Warriors start their home stand against the Oklahoma City Thunder:

“I think he will be okay to play on Monday,” said Kerr. “The expectation is he will be able to play. To have two days off the next two days (after playing the Jazz) is really important. Rather than chase our tail on this one, we'd rather just take tonight off. That would have given him five straight days by the time we play. So more treatment, more rest. We don't think it's serious, so we expect him to be able to play Monday, but he'll be day-to-day.”

The Warriors are expected to play it carefully with Green, considering he suffered a blow to his shooting right elbow during a 19-point win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday and is still healing from his share of nicks in the past few games.

Green is the only player of Golden State's Big Three who is still relatively healthy, as Stephen Curry (broken hand) and Klay Thompson (torn ACL) are out with long-term injuries.

Admit it or not, the Warriors will be very choosy as to when they trot out Green because of how long is left in the season and the slew of injuries they have faced through the first few games of the 2019-20 campaign.
